The dealer begins the game by dealing a card to each players in a clockwise fashion and a card for himself. He then deals a second round of cards to each player and deals himself a second card that is face-up. (Called up-card)
OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME:
To have a hand value that is closer to 21 than that of the dealer's, without going over 21.
In blackjack, the cards are valued as follows:
An Ace can count as either 1 or 11.
The cards from 2 through 9 are valued as indicated.
The 10, Jack, Queen, and King are all valued at 10.
The suits of the cards do not have any meaning in the game.
Blackjack is a game of skill, where a player can acquire a high degree of knowledge and skill. Successful blackjack gambling depends on a player's decision making ability and patience for the right opportunity to develop. Players can practice their skills and strategies playing at online casinos. Advanced level players can reduce the house edge to less than 1%.
- Regardless of what the dealer's up card is, always split Aces and 8's.
- Increase the amount of your bet when winning. Bet aggressively when using the house's money.
- Players hold a 52% advantage over the house if you are dealt an Ace as your first card.
- Multiply your normal bet by 40 in order to determine an appropriate bankroll.
- Your expected loss will be 10 times worse if imitating the dealer, that is hitting all 16's, standing on 17's and never splitting or doubling, than if playing from the strategy chart.
Presuming that the game always hit a hard total of 7 or less; always stand on a hard total of 17 or better. Always stand on a soft total of 19 or more.
